Ok, so we know “soccer” isn’t America’s favorite sport, but do we really think that paying David Beckham $27 MILLION DOLLARS to play for the Galaxy (linked to http://la.galaxy.mlsnet.com/t106/index.jsp) is gonna change people’s minds? Let’s throw some of that cash toward bringin a football team out here. The diehard L.A. soccer fans would go to Galaxy games regardless, only now they get the joy of watching the press drool over a washed up Spice Girl. The funniest topper of all…Beckham busted up his knee last week and is gonna to miss the first four games of the season! Money well spent.
