Simon Cowell has claimed that he is worth five times more to his record company than Bruce Springsteen.

Springsteen has reportedly signed a $100 million contract with Sony BMG, but Cowell claims that he is worth five times that amount because the artists he discovers on American Idol are so successful.

Cowell told 60 Minutes: "I sell more records than Bruce Springsteen, sure. I mean, in the last five years, I've probably sold over 100 million records. "If (Springsteen) got one hundred (million dollars), I should have got five hundred (million dollars)."

See… it’s news to me that Simon Cowell sings… oh… that’s right… he doesn’t.
