Of Modest Mouse and English Folk
British powerhouse Modest Mouse finally conquered the American Pop charts when their recently released “We Were Dead Before the Ship Sank” took over the number one spot on the Billboard 200.
I'm getting a little sick of hearing about England though. Recent addition Johnny Mar FINALLY had his first number 1 album. (huza!) BFD right? Well every article I read decided to mention that.
Here’s a list of British headlines
-Snoop Dogg denied visa to the UK
-UK sailors held hostage in Iran
-British born Singer Joss Stone’s New album goes number 2
-English guitarist from modest mouse Finally gets number 1 album.
-Ps3 Launches in The United Kingdom to huge success
What
The
Fuck?
Why is England getting so much PR lately?
I mean Jesus, this started out as an article about modest mouse
(Who’s album is really good, and I give two Marklar up) and is going to end up as a rant about British people and their hoity toite “Enunciation,” “Vocabulary,” and “Grooming.”
Whoop de freakin do.
At least people in America know how to Git er’ Done!
(I kid, I kid, seriously though, I wish I was English, maybe along the lines of… I don’t know….. maybe Jude Law, Yeah, I wish I was Jude Law)
GIT ER DONE!

Because the british just make better music. At least recently they do. Let’s see, besides the artists you mention there’s: Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand (pretty close to england anyway), Kaiser Chiefs, Keane, MUSE, and Snow Patrol (close enough to england) to name a few I like. There’s 10-15 albums in there worth buying in a heartbeat.
