The Portland Trailblazers score the top pick in the draft

The Portland Trailblazers, with only a 5.3% chance of winning the lottery, did, and will have the opportunity to choose between Oden or Durant.  The Seattle Supersonics also bucked the tide, and will pick #2, with the Atlanta Hawks selecting at #3.  Meanwhile, the three teams with the worst records in the NBA, the Grizzlies, Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks, dropped down to 4, 5, and 6 respectively.

 All i have to say is Karma is a bitch. All these teams that are tanking at the end of the season finally had their karma come back and bite them in the ass. 

For the casual NBA fan, let me elaborate.

The draft lottery works like this…

The worst the teams record at the end of the season, the more chances they have to get a top pick in the NBA Draft.  This creates a bit of havok at the end of the season when teams who are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs start to tank games in order to raise their draft position. BUT.. like i said…. Karma's A Bitch
