Apple launching iPhone on June 29th

June 6th, 2007 by Andrew Aleon Leon

Mark your calendars and get out your sleeping bags. Apple and AT&T stores will begin selling the much-awaited iPhone on June 29, and lines are expected to be long.

The combination iPod, cell phone and Internet device "will be sold out by mid-afternoon" on opening day, predicts Richard Doherty, an independent analyst with The Envisioneering Group. "There's that much anticipation for it."

Apple CEO Steve Jobs has projected sales of 10 million iPhones in its first year. With two models priced at $499 and $599, depending on storage capacity, that would generate more than $5 billion in additional retail sales.

Finally A Solid Date. I know a certain Web Master at Sitv who is salivating at the thought of an iPhone.

(His name is Al, and hes a BAMF)

Seriously though, The iPhone looks really cool… i wish they would release an ipod thats similar to the iphone design, but without the phone part of it.

Unless your willing to pull a PS3 and camp out infront of the apple store, the odds of you getting one are probably around the negative 7 range.
