Microsoft Releases Pac-Man, Whooptie freakin Doo

June 6th, 2007 by Andrew Aleon Leon

Redmond (WA) - As part of the Xbox Live Arcade's weekly update, a retooled version of Pac-Man has been added to the online store, as a tribute to the retiring founder of the classic arcade game.

Pac-Man Championship Edition stays true to Pac-Man's roots, adding new maps to the original game that first hit the U.S. more than 27 years ago.  It's the same game that was used in a special Xbox 360 tournament earlier this year in New York.

2 Days ago I posted some comments an employee of Microsoft made. He said that MS was releasing something that would CHANGE the gaming industry.

Those are fighting words for sure…. So today, i went back and tried to find out what the announcement was….

They released a remake of Pac-Man.

Are… You… Freaking…. kidding me? ooooooohhhh Pac-man, How revolutionary… for 1970!!!. Hey, welcome to 2007, We have Blu-Ray, 1080p, Motion sensing technology and Massive Multilayer Online Role Playing Games.

Pardon me if a yellow circle eating dots doesn't impress me anymore.

Screw you Microsoft.
