Phantom Planet. What can i say about phantom planet?

well, for one, i feel bad for them….

I'm going to be real honest…They are not a bad band. Seriously.BUT they will be forever plagued by the whole "we did the theme song for the OC while Jason Shwartzman was our drummer then he left and the OC was canceled and now were nobodies….

so that kinda sucks…

My girlfriend really likes them so we went to see them at the Roxy… I was not disappointed. They put on a sick show. The lead singer has a really good stage presence and i was thoroughly impressed. granted the crowd was filled with kids who thought that they were indie because they like bands from the OC soundtrack… but whatever. 

Jamie Kennedy was at the show. I think he was picking up on some skanky looking groupies. My girlfriend whispered to me that Jamie Kennedy was behind us and lo and behold, there he was. I'm not sure what else to write….. Kickin it old school sucked, sorry man. but hey, At least your working right? Thats half the battle. if you can play the race card, play it all the way to the bank… especially if your WHITE.

Maroon 5 are good friends of Phantom Planet, so apparently they were kickin it at the show too. (strangely enough they were not kickin it old school) Adam Levine is shorter than i thought he would be. He was having a conversation with this dude who was totally smashed about 80's music. Adam was laughing his ass off the whole time because the guy was slurring and stumbling. True story. 

I ALSO saw one of the guys from Orguillo Cafe, one of the three finalists on SiTV's very own Jammin Onstage competition. Motherfucker really loved phantom planet. He was Jumping up and down and practically moshing. Good guy, i think he may have been a bit drunk though…. 

Overall a very eventful night. Saw a BUNCH of diffrent people and saw some pretty good music… and after the show was over, we went into culver city and got frozen Yogurt. Great night.
